Axiom Tweet Translator is a Chrome extension for translating tweet and social content displayed on Axiom pages. This policy explains what the extension uses and how that information is handled.
Information We Do Not Sell
We do not sell personal information. We do not use user data for advertising or data brokerage.
User Control
You can turn translation features, follower-count features, and provider settings on or off from the extension settings. You can also remove the extension from Chrome at any time.
Data Stored Locally
The extension stores your preferences and local caches in Chrome storage so the experience feels faster and remembers your setup.
If you use DeepL, your API key is stored locally on your device and is not sent to the extension developer.
Information Used by the Extension
- When translation is enabled, the text you translate is sent to your selected translation provider.
- If DeepL is selected, your own DeepL API key is used.
- If Google GTX is selected, translation is handled by Google's translation service.
- If follower counts are enabled, public X/Twitter profile information may be checked to show public follower counts.
- Anonymous usage analytics may be used to improve reliability and understand feature usage.
The extension does not send your API keys, extension settings, translation cache, or follower cache to the developer.
Third-Party Services
Depending on the features you enable, the extension may interact with DeepL, Google's translation service, public X/Twitter profile sources, and Google Analytics. Tweet text, translated text, usernames, API keys, and page content are not sent to analytics.
Analytics and Tracking
Anonymous analytics may be used to understand basic feature usage and reliability.
Analytics does not include tweet text, translated text, X/Twitter usernames, DeepL API keys, page content, or personal identifiers. The extension does not include ads.
Data Retention
Local settings and cached results may remain in browser storage to improve the extension experience. You can clear extension data through Chrome or by uninstalling the extension.
Children's Privacy
This extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page.
